N-LAB is a creative platform which brings together industrial designers, extreme environment architects, robotics and electronics experts, with an aim to develop innovative robotic solutions that perform inconvenient, dangerous or time- and resource-saving tasks for humans in challenging and extreme environments.
N-LAB projects start with a deep feasibility study, involving experts and researchers from both humanitarian and exact fields. Market and analogue research is being conducted.
The N-LAB team - engineers and designers - has extensive experience in the development of both digital and material products, from sketch to 1:1 prototype.
The N-LAB team, in cooperation with Latvian universities, develops various computer training systems, both involving computer vision and other extensive data analysis.
Together with clients and partners, we map the problems and find creative solutions. Brainstorming uses design thinking as well as experience based on technology and technical capabilities.
In the N-LAB workshop, it is possible to perform manual prototyping using a wide range of materials, as well as to involve modern equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutting and other mechanical processing technologies.
The N-LAB team has extensive experience in "field" tests of equipment and systems. It works according to a special validation matrix, which allows holistic analysis of the obtained data and improvement of prototypes.
The N-LAB team and friends of the organization cover industries such as architecture, design, art, web design / UX, IT, artificial intelligence training, electrical engineering, water research, polar research, etc.
N-LAB is able to design electronics architecture, complete electronics system, design PCB boards and perform various levels of system programming.
N-LAB TEST BED is the first water "polygon" in Latvia, created as a unique place to study, test and search for innovative solutions related to the water area and water, such as autonomous water robots, smart devices and research equipment.
Currently, the test bed is used by entrepreneurs, scientists and students in the development and implementation of various innovative projects.
N-LAB team together with leading Latvian polar researchers from Latvian University works on polar innovations and research programm with the aim of developing a holistic system for the National Antarctic Research Station, including autonomous robotics platforms, design and architecture, alternative energy and communication systems.

Nature and biodiversity monitoring
The N-LAB team is developing an autonomous unmanned modular water platform "iRAFT" with multifunctional application - monitoring of civil water structures, prevention of pollution, maintenance of trade ports.
